   A leading manufacturer of high-performance networking and connectivity products, including SCSI adapters, RAID products, Fast Ethernet adapters, ATM network interface cards, and server management software. In 1998, Adaptec acquired Ridge Technologies, a manufacturer of RAID and other storage solutions for Microsoft Windows 2000.
